We collect information you provide directly to us when registering an account, purchasing courses, taking quizzes, or communicating with us:

• Account Details: Your username, first name, last name, email address, password hash, phone number, and optional profile bio/headline.
• Google User Data (OAuth): When you choose to sign in using Continue with Google, Google shares certain account details with your consent, including your public profile name, verified email address, Google account ID, and profile picture avatar.
• Learning Progress & Activity: Course enrollments, lesson completions, quiz attempts, module project assignments, and certificates of completion earned.
• Transaction & Billing Data: Payment transaction reference numbers, amounts paid, currency, channel (card, bank transfer), and timestamps. Note: All credit/debit card numbers are processed directly and securely by Paystack. We never store or transmit sensitive card details on our servers.
• Community Contributions: Discussion topics, replies, and questions you post to the Community Forum.

3. Google API User Data Policy Compliance

NerdyLMS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements:

• We only request the minimum Google OAuth scopes required (email, profile, and openid) strictly to create and authenticate your learner or instructor account.
• We do not sell, transfer, or license your Google user data to third parties.
• We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, personalized marketing, or retargeting campaigns.
• We do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

• To create, authenticate, and manage your student or instructor account.
• To grant access to enrolled course curriculum, live Telegram broadcasts, quizzes, and project materials.
• To calculate instructor payouts under our transparent 70/30 creator revenue split.
• To generate official, verifiable PDF completion certificates equipped with cryptographic QR verification codes.
• To send essential transactional notifications, including order confirmations, invoice receipts, and password resets.
• To prevent fraud, automated bot registrations, and abuse via Google reCAPTCHA.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. We only disclose information to trusted third-party providers strictly to deliver our platform features:

• Payment Processors (Paystack): To securely authorize and reconcile tuition purchases.
• Authentication Providers (Google): For identity verification and single sign-on.
• Infrastructure & Hosting Providers: Secure cloud servers and database infrastructure.
• Legal Requirements: If compelled by lawful governmental requests, court orders, or applicable regulations.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical safeguards to protect your personal data, including 256-bit SSL/TLS end-to-end encryption in transit, strict Django CSRF validation, salted PBKDF2 password hashing, and role-based access controls restricting administrative data to verified platform operators.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to access, review, modify, or permanently delete your personal information stored on NerdyLMS.

How to request account deletion: If you wish to delete your account and all associated enrollment records, send an email from your registered account address to support@ndt.com.ng with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process and permanently remove your data within 7 business days, retaining only legally required financial transaction receipts.

8. Cookies & Session Storage

We use strictly necessary HTTP session cookies to keep you securely logged in across pages and maintain your active learning sessions. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
